Pursuant to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1329 р , dated October 2, 2007, India , the Russian National Exhibition is to be held in India , which presents one of the cardinal events of the Year of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India in the area of economic activity. The exhibition will be attended by official delegation of the Russian Federation .
Promotion of further development and strengthening of trade and economic relations between Russia and India, diversification of forms and areas of the Russian-Indian economic cooperation, extension of cooperation in social and humanitarian sphere, strengthening of business and cultural relations of the two countries.
• Increase in mutual trade, which includes promoting export of the Russian hi-tech products as well as machinery and technical products to the India 's market
• Expansion of investment co-operation and presentation of the most attractive investment projects in the Russian Federation
• Encouragement of innovative activity and interaction of scientific establishments of the two countries.
• power engineering – different kinds of power equipment, including gas turbine plant, wind power generators, solar batteries, etc.
• commercial aviation – short-haul and mid-haul passenger and transport fixed wing aircraft and rotary wing aircraft of commercial modifications, integrated flight safety systems
• railway transport – advanced signaling systems and control and navigation systems, technologies for creation of new generation locomotives, suburban and underground electric trains

About 300 exhibitors from Russia will take part in exhibition.
